Whenever an update is available for a product you have installed, the Update button will replace the Download tab on the product tiles on the My Products page in Beatport Access.
Managing your updates using Beatport Access means that you’ll always know when a newer version of your product is available and can be one of the first to try it.
To install an update, just click the Update button on the product of your choice. The result of clicking the Update button will depend on how your product’s installers are delivered.
- If your product's installer is a .exe or .pkg file, you’ll see a spinning animation on the product tile. This tells you we’re currently downloading your installer and it’ll be opened automatically as soon as it’s downloaded. The time this takes will depend on the size of the installer and the speed of your Internet connection.
- If your product's installer is in a .zip file or similar, this will be downloaded to your Downloads folder (or the download location you’ve set within the Settings page), however, it will not be extracted or run automatically. You’ll then need to head to your Downloads folder
- (or the download location you’ve set within the Settings page) to extract the compressed file and run the installer yourself.
- If your product’s installer needs to be downloaded from a third-party brand’s website, the Download button will open your web browser and open the brand’s website, where you can sign up and use your redeem code to download your software installers.
